makebelieve design & consulting designed and developed the new website for Informatics Europe, the association of computer science departments and research laboratories in Europe and neighboring areas

Along with a vibrant new look, the site features enhanced tools and two brand new online services.

The Research & Education Directory of Informatics Europe includes a database of academic institutions conducting Research and offering Education in Informatics in Europe and neighbouring areas and provides access to more detailed information presented by the institutions. The R&E Directory provides an excellent opportunity to increase the visibility of institutions (Departments, Faculties, Schools) and to direct Informatics Europe visitors to specific areas and information on each institution's website.

The Informatics Jobs Service is a specialized forum for the advertisement of scientific positions (e.g.: scientific researcher, post-doc, professor, etc) in Informatics, Computing, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology or other closely related fields.

"The design of the Informatics Europe new website by makebelieve design & consulting, from initial proposal to final “product” was a truly smooth process.

We worked closely with Maria (Roussou) and Dimitris (Nastos) through all stages of the development; they have been extremely competent and professional, with lots of patience and flexibility, and always an open mind to our frequently changing requirements. The built of the two new online services was a complex project and makebelieve also helped us to shape up and realize elements we had sometimes only vaguely in mind. They constantly brought new ideas and advices on how things could be improved, helping us to navigate and achieve what we had proposed.

The outcome of their hard work has been a fine looking, efficient and robust website which has never (after more than two years) had any problem. Makebelieve offered free support for the year following the website launch, which was very helpful and allowed us to optimize a few features and feel secure that whatever problem that could arise would be quickly solved (at the end we never really experienced any major issue).
